Approximate time frames of applications are subject to change due to weather conditions & other uncontrollable factors.

All fertilization programs are subject to changes in pesticides used in a time frame based on the needs of the turf at that time.

SILVER LAWN FERTILIZATION PROGRAM

STEP 1: Early-season balanced fertilizer (APRIL/MAY)

STEP 2: Pre-emergent crabgrass control & Weed & Feed (MAY/JUNE)

STEP 3: Fertilizer & Insect Killer plus Grub Control (JUNE/JULY)

STEP 4: Summer balanced fertilizer (JULY/AUG)

STEP 5: Weed & Feed (AUG/SEPT)

STEP 6: Balanced Late Season Fertilizer (OCT)

  • 6 total steps with 5 pesticide applications* (all steps include inspection)

GOLD LAWN FERTILIZATION PROGRAM

STEP 1: Early Balanced Fertilizer & Inspection (APRIL)

STEP 2: Weed & Feed, Pre-Emergent Crabgrass Killer & Inspection (MAY)

STEP 3: Insect & Grub Killer and/or Weed & Feed & Inspection (JUNE)

STEP 4: Post-emergent crabgrass control and/or Weed & Feed & Inspection (JULY)

STEP 5: Post-emergent crabgrass control, Weed & Feed and/or Nutsedge Killer & Inspection (AUG)

STEP 6: Weed & Feed and/or Nutsedge Killer & Inspection (SEPT)

STEP 7: Balanced Late Season Fertilizer & Final Inspection (OCT)

  • 7 total steps with 5 pesticide applications* (all steps include fertilizer, inspection & spot treatment for previous steps if applicable)

STEP 1: Dormant Oil Application (APRIL)

STEP 2: Deep Root Feed Injection (MAY)

STEP 3: Insecticide Application (JUNE/JULY)

STEP 4: Inspection & Insecticide Application (JULY/AUG)

STEP 5: Late-season Deep Root Injection (OCT)

  • 5 total steps with 3 pesticide applications*

* A pesticide is a chemical or agent that specifically targets and controls/kills an invasive or unwanted "pest" such as insects and weeds & could be toxic if handled or ingested by humans or animals (including pets). Typically a 24-hour period of no activity is needed in the area treated to ensure safety. See our Pesticide Info page for more details on individual pesticides used.
